What Makes Whigmaleerie Different:
Our aspirations are to accomplish a lost more than most
other poetry contest centers and publishers.
- A portion of all book inclusion and book sale proceeds
go to a non-profit equine rescue (501C3 #1057664-6). We are passionately
commited to making a difference in the lives of abused and neglected rescued
horses.
- A separate portion of all proceeds go towards our
efforts to educate the public about the serious crime of stalking. Stalking
is a terrible form of domestic violence and domestic terrorism and there is
currently too little wide spread help and education for both victims and
potential victims. We need to spread the word of this horrible reality and
aid victims in any way we can.
- We make a serious effort to market our anthologies
outside the circle of contest participants. Although we cannot guarantee all
of our anthologies will find a place in the general public book market, we
do guarantee that we will try to market these anthologies.
- We do not publish just anything that is sent to us. We
seriously review works for quality. Therefore, although "quality"
is a subjective term, we are different because of this unique commitment to
ourselves, authors, and the general public.
- We donate anthologies to a limited number of public
libraries whenever it is affordable of us to do so.
- We are upfront and honest about our intended agenda.
